The entire KVOE listening area is now under a severe thunderstorm watch through the early evening hours Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has placed Lyon and all surrounding counties in the watch until 6 pm Tuesday. There is an enhanced risk in place with all hazards possible.

A lot of thunderstorm chances are ahead the next several days.
With severe weather at least possible the rest of Tuesday and again Thursday, TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers is asking you to be ready — just in case.
There is now an enhanced risk of severe weather for Tuesday afternoon involving all hazards, followed by a slight risk for Thursday, mainly for large hail.
This follows strong thunderstorm activity near Emporia before sunrise Tuesday, including an urban and small stream flood advisory for Coffey County. Rain totals as of 8:30 am Tuesday:
