April home sales in Emporia were flat from March and lower than a year ago.
Sunflower Association of Realtors says Emporia had 34 homes sold last month, level from March and down from 42 homes sold last April. Sunflower says there is just over a month’s worth of supply on the market and homes are still selling briskly, with homes selling within six days of listing on average.
For the year, Emporia has had 108 homes sold, down from 131 last year to date and 140 two years ago.
Greater Lyon County, or areas outside the Emporia city limits, had 29 homes sold last month — up slightly from 26 in March but down from 38 last April. There is also just over a month’s worth of supply and homes are selling within five days of listing on average.
Sunflower says 83 homes have sold in greater Lyon County so far this year, down from 114 the past two years.
