Emporia Fire was dispatched, but ultimately not needed following a brief fire at Emporia’s Country Mart Thursday evening.
According to Emporia Fire, crews were dispatched to Reeble’s Country Mart for a reported structure fire shortly after 5:30 pm. The fire developed as workers were handling grease from a fryer.
The fire was quickly extinguished and required no further efforts from firefighters upon their arrival.
