The Emporia High girls soccer team dropped its regular season finale 7-1 to Circle Friday night.
Circle jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Colee Butler made it 4-1.
The Thunderbirds scored two early goals in the second half before a weather delay halted the match for 65 minutes. Circle added one more goal late in the match.
Emporia High coach Oscar Macias says the Lady Spartans weren’t the same team they were in the second half on Thursday’s match against Topeka High.
Emporia High finishes the regular season with a 6-8-1 record. The Lady Spartans will find out their regional assignment on Saturday.
