With the presidential preference primary elections taking place next spring, Kansas Republicans are asking party members to fill out a short survey.
The seven-question survey is meant to be a current snapshot of the political climate, including current choice for president among 21 options, top issue facing the country, where respondents consider themselves on the Republican “political spectrum,” main news sources and thoughts on how the state party should adjust.

Kansas Democrats have not announced a similar survey effort.
Earlier this week, Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab appeared on KVOE’s Morning Show — in part to remind residents that the overall choices for president on the state primary and, ultimately, the general election are determined by the number of total delegates accumulated, not by the votes cast during preference primaries such as the one in Kansas next year.
