With a new urgent care business working hard to open by mid-summer and with the COVID-19 pandemic emergency officially over, Newman Regional Health Medical Partners is expanding its weekday hours at ExpressCare.
Effective June 1, hours will be 8 am to 8 pm weekdays and 10 am to 6 pm weekends. Current weekday hours are 1-9 pm.
ExpressCare is next to the hospital’s emergency room at 1201 West 12th. Clinic Administrator Lynn Doeden says Express Care is available for residents who need same-day medical visits and have “non-emergent” illnesses or injuries.
This announcement comes with the COVID pandemic emergency ending last week. It also comes as Xpress Wellness continues its rapid work to start operations this summer at 2031 West Sixth. Based in Oklahoma, Xpress Wellness offers urgent care for both adult and pediatric patients, as well as sports medicine, employer services, workers compensation services, lab services and on-site diagnostic testing including an X-ray.
