The Emporia High track and field teams will send 12 athletes to the Class 5A state track and field championships next weekend in Wichita.
The Emporia High boys finished sixth with 45 points, while the girls finished ninth with 24 points at the Andover regional Thursday.
Parker Leeds qualified for two events. He finished third in the long jump (21-4) and took fourth in the triple jump (42-8.25).
The 4x400m relay team of Blake Spellman, Fred Jackson, Derrick Keys and Kyle Obermeyer finished third (3:26.20).
Kyle Obermeyer qualified for the 110 hurdles with a 2nd-place finish.
Marco Robinson qualified in the 100m with a fourth-place finish (11.18).
Jeremiah Huber qualified for state in the pole vault (12-6).
Jackson finished fourth in the 400m (50.37).
Jonaus Anderson finished fourth in the 200m (23.03).
The 4x100m relay team of Marco Robinson, Brody Duncan, RJ Tabares and Jonaus Anderson finished fourth (44.14).
Two Lady Spartans qualified for state.
Mia Trujillo will be going to state in two events. She finished third in the discus (118-2) and fourth in the shot put (33-6.50).
Harley Smith qualified for state in the 400m (1:01.45).
The Class 5A state track and field meet begins next Friday at Cessna Stadium in Wichita.
