The Olpe girls’ track and field team won the 1A regional in Iola Friday
Olpe had three regional champions.
The 4x800m relay team of Gracie Scheve, Kadey Robert, Milly Bailey and Lilly Skalsky (10:58.59). The 4×400 relay team of Ella Wilson, Milly Bailey, Jade Smith and Aubren Garriott (4:28.06). Lilly Skalsky won the 3,200m (12:29.62) and finished second in the 1,600m (5:46.40).
The 4x100m relay team of Aubren Garriott, Kadey Robert, Milly Bailey and Jade Smith finished second (54.31).
Hana Cole finished second in the pole vault.
Grace Coughlin had two third-place finishes in the discus (96-5) and the javelin (106-8).
Jade Smith finished fourth in the 400m (29.01).
The Olpe boys finished second with 72 points, nine points behind regional champion Canton-Galva.
Olpe had six regional champions.
The 4x800m relay team of Blake Redeker, Kaleb Arnold, Dexton Hoetling and Darren Heins (8:58.71). The 4x400m relay team of Blake Redeker, Blake Skalsky, Dexton Hoelting and Darren Heins (3:42.45). Kaleb Arnold won both the 1,600m (4:45.35) and the 3,200m (10:18.11). Blake Skalsky won the 400m (53.40) and was fourth in the 200m (23.92). Darren Heins won the 800m (2:06.20).
Blake Redeker finished fourth in the 800m (2:15.80).
Colten Wolf took fourth in the pole vault (8-0).
The Lebo boys finished third with 65 points.
Lebo had one regional champion. Corey Reese finished in a tie for first in the pole vault (8-0).
Austin Bailey finished second in the shot put (44-1.50) and third in the discus (126-7).
The 4x800m relay team of Grayson Shoemaker, Kord Kiefer, Luke Davies and Caleb Durst finished second (9:06.62).
Durst picked up a pair of runner-up finishes in the 1,600m (4:56.13) and the 3,200m (10:38.10).
Shoemaker finished second in the 800m (2:11.10).
The 4x400m relay team of Landon Grimmett, Kiefer, Davies and Shoemaker finished third (3:47.14).
Grimmett finished fourth in the 400m (57.20).
The Lebo girls finished fourth with 58 points.
Lebo had two regional champions.
Audrey Peek won the pole vault (7-6) and also took second in the javelin (107-5). Brooklyn Jones won the javelin (118-2).
Ally Peek finished third in the pole vault (6-6).
The 4x800m relay team of Kennah Speer, Cira Plummer, Keaira Ferguson and Ally Peek finished third (11:35.97).
Ally Peek, Ferguson, Audrey Peek and Abigail Jones made up the 4x400m relay team that finished fourth (4:39.38).
Speer finished fourth in the 1,600m (6:18.40).
Abigail Jones took fourth in the 400m (1:06.09).
Plummer finished fourth in the 3,200m (13:31.32).
The Madison boys finished fourth with 64 points.
Madison had five regional champions.
Bryson Turner won four of them in the long jump (22-1), 100m (11.08), triple jump (43-7.50) and the 200m (22.80). Cruz Leiser finished in a tie for first in the pole vault (8-0).
Hayden Helm finished second in the javelin (144-4).
The 4x100m relay team of Colton Isch, Octavian Dean, Hayden Helm and Ethan Hall finished fourth (47.00).
The Madison girls finished sixth with 46 points.
Sarah Miser won the discus (107-7) and finished second in the shot put (35-3).
Yolanie Luthi finished second in the high jump (4-10), second in the 300m hurdles (50.22) and took fourth in the long jump (15-1).
Jalynn Weakley picked up a pair of fourth-place finishes in the high jump (4-8) and the javelin (100-9).
The Burlingame girls finished seventh with 37 points.
Bella Tyson was the lone regional champion. She won the 800m (2:37.35).
Willow Wyatt finished second in the 200m (28.78).
The 4x400m relay team of Madison Hovestadt, Kaylin Noonan, Wyatt and Tyson finished second (4:34.19).
The quartet also made up the 4x100m relay that finished third (54.49).
Hovestadt finished fourth in the triple jump (31-4.75).
The Burlingame boys finished in a tie for 10th with 19 points.
Matthew Heckman claimed the regional championship in the high jump (6-6).
Tyler Lockwood finished third in the javelin (143-5).
The Waverly boys finished in a tie for 10th with Burlingame.
Ben Meehan was the lone regional champion, winning the javelin (159-8).
The 4x800m relay team of Meehan, Carter Ohl, Brady Wallace and Brantley Petersen finished fourth (9:33.88).
Petersen finished fourth in the 3,200m (11:09.50).
The Waverly girls finished in a tie for 10th
Josie Romig finished third in the shot put (34-7.50) and was fourth in the 800m (2:44.90).
The 4x800m relay team of Romig, Ella McNabb, Serenity Lockwood and Emma Glover finished fourth (12:01.72).
Marias des Cygnes Valley’s Akira Traver qualified for state in three events helping the Lady Trojans finished in ninth place.
She won the 100m hurdles (16.81), was third in the 300m hurdles (50.32) and took fourth in the 100m (13.76).
The Hartford girls finished 13th and had one state qualifier.
Trinity Windle won the high jump (4-10).
The Hartford boys finished 14th and had one state qualifier.
Cody Cleveland finished third in the 3,200m (11:07.50).
Hamilton had one state qualifier. Candice Ashlock finished fourth in the discus (93-3).
Southern Coffey County had two state qualifiers in three events.
Thomas Nickel finished fourth in both the discus (120-7) and the shot put (40-5).
Emily Ludolph finished fourth in the shot put (33-0).
At the Class 3A regional hosted by Nickerson the Council Grove boys finished second with 73 points. The Braves finished five points behind regional champion and reigning two-time defending state champion in Class 3A Southeast of Saline.
Council Grove had five regional champions.
Kahle Jones won the high jump (6-4).
Ethan Burton won the 100m (10.73) and the 200m 22.18).
The 4x100m relay team of Jace Goodman, Loup Charlier, Ahmed Mansarary and Burton took first (42.79).
Evan Carr won the triple jump (43-6.5)
Mansarary finished third in the 100m (11.14).
Charlier took second in the 300m hurdles (41.70).
Lakodaah Downes finished third in the pole vault (12-0).
Lily Zeigler was the only Council Grove girl to qualify for state. She won the high jump (5-4).
The Class 3A and 1A State Track and Field Championships begin next Friday at Cessna Stadium in Wichita.
