There has been another earthquake near the Chase-Marion county line.
Thursday’s magnitude 2.5 quake developed at 2:30 pm nearly eight miles southeast of Lincolnville, or 37 miles almost due west of Emporia. Reports of shaking were weak and limited to Elmdale and Olathe. No injuries or damage were reported.
The Kansas Geological Survey says this is now the 18th minor earthquake in a 10-square-mile area straddling the Chase-Marion county line so far this year. All have been magnitude 3 or below. No injuries or damage have been reported with any of the earthquakes in that area.
