Begin with the end in mind. Attitude is almost everything. And every day is important.
Those were the main points of advice for Flint Hills Technical College graduates from Chief Academic Officer and Vice President of Academic Affairs Steve Loewen, who’s retiring after 24 years at the college. He tells KVOE News a degree from Flint Hills Technical College will continue to be a valuable asset for students as the workforce needs change.
Loewen says he has valued the relationships he has developed with the faculty and administrative team, which has always been focused on the important purpose of preparing students for the work world.
Nearly 190 students were eligible for certificates. Almost 80 were eligible for associates degrees in applied science in their respective fields.
