The Kansas City Royals were outscored by the Chicago White Sox 5-1 Saturday.
Salvador Perez hit a solo home run in the first inning and that would be the only run for the Royals.
The Royals would strand 6 base runners and were 0-8 with runners in scoring position.
The White Sox would score 2 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning and added 3 more runs in the 6th inning.
The Royals and White Sox play again Sunday afternoon. The first pitch is set for 1:10 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The Royals reinstated pitcher Amir Garrett from the family medical emergency list. They sent Jackson Kowar back to Omaha.
The Royals have also placed pitcher Brad Keller on the 15-day injury list and recalled pitcher Max Castillo from Omaha.
