Engagement, education and involvement is the main premise of the latest project through Kansas Interfaith Action which prompted a stop in Emporia Sunday.

Rieber says it is important for residents to understand the organization does not use faith to push policy but rather supports policies that fall in line with core teachings of faith.
In addition to major metropolitan cities, KIFA is looking to expand its reach to smaller communities such as Emporia. As such the organization has begun the “small cities” project, the reason for Rieber’s visit to First United Methodist Church Sunday afternoon.
Riever says it is important that all residents, regardless of their location, are as informed and engaged with policy matters as possible.
In addition to Emporia, Rieber says KIFA is also focusing more attention on the cities of Manhattan, Salina and Newton through the small cities project. For more information visit kansasinterfaithaction.org.
