A man accused in Lyon County District Court of rape and other charges has his preliminary hearing Wednesday.
Timothy Ray Davis will appear before Judge Laura Miser at 1:30 pm.
Davis is facing one count of rape and one of aggravated sexual battery, both involving an alleged victim who was incapable of giving consent due to alcohol or drugs as part of an alleged incident in early January. The rape count has an alternate count of aggravated sexual battery.
Earlier in the day, a woman originally accused in Lyon County District Court of aggravated assault and burglary will get sentenced Wednesday on lesser counts.
Amanda Alvarado pleaded no contest to criminal possession of a weapon by a felon and criminal damage after an alleged incident near Emporia in October. Other prior charges have been dismissed.
The hearing is at 9 am before Judge Jeff Larson.
