USD 253 Emporia Public Schools encourages families to participate in a statewide survey testing broadband connectivity.
The speed test and survey are available online at Broadbandks.com and take only a few minutes to complete. Residents are asked to ensure they are on WiFi within their home or business when they take the test and not to use cell phone data. The speed test will capture internet speed, general location and IP address but will not record personal information.
The state of Kansas is currently in the process of developing a plan to expand broadband access throughout the state. The results of the survey will assist in determining where the greatest needs lie within the state.
