Emporia State volleyball coach Ken Murczek announced his first recruiting class Tuesday.
Ten players have signed to play for Emporia State with six being transfers and four freshmen.
The transfers include McKenzie Damon, a 5-9 outside hitter/defensive specialist from Durand, Illinois. Damon will be a graduate transfer after transferring from Charleston.
Anakaren Chavez, a 5-4 defensive/libero from Laredo, Texas will transfer to Emporia State after two seasons at Western Nebraska Community College.
Maureen Mathews, a 6-0 outside hitter from High Ridge, Missouri, transfers in after two years at Jefferson College.
Sandora Saski, a 5-8 outside hitter from Japan transfers to Emporia State after two years at Salt Lake City Community College.
Emily Hardee, a 5-5 defensive specialist/libero from Dickinson, Texas, transfers to Emporia State after one season at Blinn College.
Camilla Ossola, a 6-0 outside hitter from Italy, transfers after one season at Johnson County Community College. She played her senior season at Silver Lake.
The high school recruits include Kaitlyn Stuot, a 5-11 outside hitter from Overland Park, and Blue Valley High School. Emma Clements, a 5-8 outside hitter from Stillwater, Oklahoma. Brailee Bogle, a 6-0 setter from Wichita and Wichita Northwest High School. Lilly Zeigler, a 6-2 middle blocker from Council Grove.
