Wednesday will be busy in Lyon County District Court.
A motions hearing is set for 11 am for Gerald Travis Todd, charged with rape and aggravated criminal sodomy aft4er an alleged incident in late August 2021. Officially, Todd faces six total counts in Lyon County. Todd also has a trial status hearing set for June 7 and trial tentatively set for June 12.
Also, Maurice De’Sean Evans has a competency review hearing in his drug distribution case at 3 pm. Evans is charged with single counts of distributing up to 100 grams of methamphetamine, trafficking a crystallized substance into a correctional facility and possessing drug paraphernalia after an alleged incident in early March.
Christina Marie Williams has a trial status hearing at 3:30 pm. Williams is charged with two counts of aggravated child endangerment and single counts of methamphetamine possession, marijuana possession and paraphernalia possession after an alleged incident in December. If trial doesn’t begin Monday, it could begin June 20 or June 26.
In addition, Norwin Alexis Matey-Matey has his rescheduled preliminary hearing at 10 am. Matey-Matey is accused of trafficking cocaine into the Lyon County Jail. The hearing was reset after Judge Laura Miser appointed Leah Cerretti as defense counsel.
