(esu) More postseason honors have been handed out to Emporia State track and field athletes.
All 4 athletes that competed at Nationals have been named All-Americans. Travis Morrison who placed 8th in the shot put and Alyssa Conway who placed 8th in the hammer throw are 1st team All-Americans.
Brooks Lowe who placed 9th in the javelin and Megan McManus who placed 10th in the pole vault are second-team All-Americans.
Ten Emporia State track and field athletes were named to the Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators. Holly Brockmeier, Alyssa Conway, Ashley Cookson, Victoria Pettay, and Kynzie Underwood earned the recognition for the Hornet women while Aaron Hunt, Jake Johnson, Chase Rooney, Tyler Swift, and Jack Watson were honored for the men.
All ten maintained a 3.5 GPA or better.
