A trio of primary elections will be held in the KVOE listening area later this summer.
Coffey, Osage and Wabaunsee counties will all hold a primary election in August for a seat on three separate school boards. For Coffey County, Terry Romig of Waverly, Sarah Henley of Lebo, Katelyn Haddock of Waverly and Shawn Miller of Lebo all filed for the USD 243 Lebo Waverly at large seat.
In Osage County, four candidates also filed for USD 454 Burlingame’s at large seat as did Jaclynn Huck-Brown, Dan Roth, Jesse Gehrt and Brent McClayland for the USD 329 Wabaunsee at large seat. Lyon, Chase, Greenwood and Morris counties did not have enough candidates file to trigger a primary.
The primary election will be held on Aug. 1 with the general election scheduled for Nov. 7. For questions or more information on upcoming elections contact your local county clerk’s office.
