Two Emporians were injured, one seriously, following a single vehicle rollover accident Friday.
Emergency crews were called to mile marker 99.4 southbound on the Kansas Turnpike shortly before 11:10 am. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, a 2011 Kia Rio driven by 21-year-old Hunter White of Emporia went off the roadway for unlisted reasons before overcorrecting and traveling across all lanes of travel.
The vehicle then entered the ditch and rolled coming to a rest on all four wheels. White and a passenger, 19-year-old Alexandra Matson of Emporia, were taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
White suffered suspected minor injuries while Matson was listed as having suffered serious injuries.
A juvenile was also listed as being in the vehicle at the time of the accident, however, the crash log did not say if the child was hurt or transported.
Both White and Matson were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
