Heavy rain came to the KVOE listening area for part of Saturday afternoon.

*1100 block Constitution: 0.68 inches
*10th and Weaver: 1.30 inches
*18th and Briarcliff: 1.80 inches
*Country Club Heights: 0.85 inches
Heavy rainfall led to at least one reported injury crash near Emporia. The Kansas Highway Patrol and Emporia Fire/EMS responded to Kansas Turnpike mile marker 126.5, a mile southwest of the Emporia exit, at 5:30 pm. A car driven b7 57-year-old Lisa James of Kansas City, Missouri, was northbound in the outside lane. James lost control on the wet highway, spun and hit the center barrier wall. She and two other passengers suffered possible injuries but declined ambulance trips to a hospital.
After a turbulent week with numerous rain chances since Tuesday, showers and storms are possible but unlikely Sunday and Monday. Rain chances return to the forecast Friday, based on the current forecast.
