M J Melendez scored on a Michael Massey single in the 5th inning and Maikel Garcia hit his first career home run in the 8th inning. Brady Singer earned his 4th win giving up no runs on 5 hits and 7 strikeouts over 5.2 innings. Scott Barlow earned his 7th save.
The Royals begin a 3 game series at Miami today. Carlos Hernandez will be the starter for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 5:40 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 5 pm.
