SOS and the Stop Trafficking Project are teaming up for a series of presentations across the local community this week.
Human Trafficking: More Than Meets the Eye, will include information on the signs, statistics and prevention of human trafficking. SOS representative Danielle Armitage says human trafficking is an issue that affects everyone no matter where they live.
Armitage says the featured speaker for this week’s presentations will be Russ Tuttle of the Stop Trafficking Project.
A total of five presentations will be held between Tuesday and Wednesday with Tuesday’s slate beginning at 9 am inside of the Lyndon High School auditorium. Tuesday’s presentations will continue at 1:30 pm inside of the Coffey County Courthouse and conclude at Flint Hills Technical College at 6:30 pm. Wednesday’s presentations will begin at FHTC at 9 am before concluding at Council Grove High School at 1:30 pm.
