One of Emporia’s most popular eateries will be receiving sizeable funding to support new additions and updates.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation and American Express announced 25 historic small restaurants will be receiving $40,000 in grants through the Backing Historic Small Restaurants Grant Program. Among that list was Emporia’s Radius Brewing Company which came as a welcome surprise to owner Chad Swift.
Swift says plans are to use the funding to support many wants and needs for the building.
This is the third round of grant funding through the Backing Historic Small Restaurants Grant Program with a total of $1 million in grant funding being administered. For more information on the restaurants included and the program in general be sure to visit savingplaces.org.
