Summertime is in full swing for the Emporia Farmers Market.
Wednesday kicked off the addition of their second sale of the week in the parking lot at Seventh and Merchant.
Emporia Farmers Market Director Trisha Fullerton says it’s the perfect time to add Wednesdays to the market schedule.
A variety of different items were up for sale including produce, baked goods, jams, jewelry, and even fertilizer.
Ed Moyer is a usual vendor to the Emporia Farmers Market. Moyer has been a vendor of the market for 41 years. He says it runs in the family.
Mark Maz of Maz’s Produce of LeRoy was on hand for Wednesday’s market. After attending three consecutive Saturday markets, there’s one thing that brings Maz back to Emporia, the patrons.
Wednesday markets will go from 5 to 6:30 p.m. each and every week through September. The market will have its Saturday sales each week that starts at 8 a.m. through October.
