Proceedings are on hold at the moment for a man accused of attempted murder following an alleged shooting in East Emporia in late April.
Michael Brian Bradley, 48, appeared in Lyon County District Court Thursday afternoon for a preliminary hearing. At that time, Rand Simmons was appointed as Bradley’s legal counsel following the withdrawal of Ty Wheeler.
Due to the change in counsel, Bradley’s next court date is currently pending. Bradley is charged with a single count of attempted first-degree murder, as well as single counts of criminal discharge of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
Bradley is accused of shooting a gun at Samuel Gardenhire Jr and Jasmine Carmona on April 27 near Ninth and Whittier.
