An alleged chase in Greenwood County has led to numerous charges for the reported driver in the case.
Greenwood County deputies say they tried to stop a vehicle on US Highway 54 west of Eureka on May 25. The driver, later identified as Aaliyah Blazek, age and hometown not listed, allegedly fled at a high rate of speed before authorities used spike strips to stop Blazek in El Dorado. The formal complaint indicates Blazek was driving 100 mph in a 65 mph zone.
Besides speeding, Blazek has been formally charged with flee and elude, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, no valid driver’s license and several other traffic infractions. Blazek is also charged with theft after allegedly stealing a Texas license plate. In all, Blazek faces 13 counts in Greenwood County District Court.
Blazek’s next hearing is a status conference July 21 in Eureka.
Separately, two people were arrested after a Greenwood County traffic stop June 1.
Deputies have not given specifics about the stop itself, but they say Troy White and Tresslie Holmes were both arrested on suspicion of drug-related activity. White has now been charged with possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, paraphernalia possession and being a habitual violator of the state’s driving while revoked laws. Holmes, meanwhile, was charged with possessing cocaine and paraphernalia.
Both have status conferences July 21.
