Home sales in Emporia and greater Lyon County were higher than April but down from a year ago.
Sunflower Association of Realtors says Emporia had 41 homes sold last month, up from 34 in April but down from 47 in May 2022. Sunflower says there is one month’s worth of supply currently on the market, and homes are selling within six days of their initial listing on average.
Year-to-date, there have been 149 homes sold in Emporia, down from the last two years.
Greater Lyon County had similar trends with 35 homes sold in May up from 29 in April but below the 40 units sold last year. There’s a month’s worth of supply on the market and homes are selling within five days of listing on average.
Sunflower says 118 homes have sold in greater Lyon County this year, down from the past two years.
