Emporia Police are looking for a driver who allegedly left the scene of an injury crash early Tuesday.
Police Capt. Ray Mattas says the wreck at Ninth and Oak happened around 5:20 am. Officers found four vehicles apparently involved. Mattas says a northbound 2017 Dodge Journey on Oak apparently ran the stop sign at Ninth and was hit on the passenger side by a 2023 Kia Seltos. The Journey spun, hit a parked 2014 Nissan Frontier, flipped and hit a parked 1996 Chrysler LHS.
Mattas says the driver of the Journey is known to officers but declined to name that person. An unnamed passenger in the Journey was taken to Newman Regional Health with minor injuries. The driver of the Seltos, 60-year-old Michael Sullivan, was not hurt.
