Lyon County Commissioners have their latest pair of appropriation requests to consider along with several other items when they convene for their weekly action meeting Thursday morning.
Commissioners will receive requests from North Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging Director Julie Govert Walter and Lyon County Fairboard President Jeremiah Corpening. Separately, Lyon County Engineer Chip Woods will submit a number of requests for approval including:
*A KDOT supplemental agreement for the replacement of the Troublesome Creek Bridge on County Road J south of Road 215.
*Quotes from Longbine Autoplaza ($52,620) for a 2024 Silverado 2500 HD pickup and Murphy Tractor and Equipment Company ($6,250) for a used 2022 Virnig 84″ angle broom.
*A bid from Kansas Security ($52,402) for Kansas Security to purchase security features for new facilities.
*Purchase of a Sharp BP-50C36 digital color copier from Heartland Office Systems for $6,995.
Lyon County IT Director Chuck Boyce will also present a request to upgrade servers and SAN for $37,360.16 while Melissa Landis and Gayle Taylor Ford will present an update on the work and programming of Empower House Ministries.
Two executive sessions are also on the agenda. The meeting begins at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
