Another close loss for the Kansas City Royals. The Cincinnati Reds held on for a 5-4 win Tuesday night.
The Royals scored a run in the 1st inning, Salvador Perez scoring on an MJ Melendez sacrifice fly. The Reds answered with 5 runs in the 2nd inning.
The Royals added a run in the 2nd, Edward Olivares scored on a Matt Duffy double. And Bobby Witt Jr hit a 2 run home run in the 3rd.
With the loss and Oaklands’ win Tuesday night, the Royals are now in last place in the majors. (18-49)
The Royals and Reds play again Wednesday night. Daniel Lynch will be the starting pitcher with the first pitch at 7:10 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 6:30 pm.
