Organizers were extremely pleased with the weather, turnout and overall energy at this year’s Symphony in the Flint Hills.
SFH Board of Directors member Mike Collinge says attendance was down slightly from previous years, however, he tells KVOE News there were still right around 4,000 attendees and they certainly brought great energy to the proceedings.
This year’s theme was Transportation in Kansas, which Collinge says is fitting given this year’s location at the Wade Pasture in Wabaunsee County.
Along with the signature concert featuring the Kansas City Symphony and guest performer Connie Dover, attendees were also able to enjoy covered wagon rides, stargazing, educational talks and much more.
