Emporia Police are still looking for a driver who allegedly left the scene of an injury crash earlier this week.
Officers are still not naming the person or giving a description despite the subject being known to police, according to Capt. Ray Mattas.
Officers began investigating after two vehicles in motion collided at Ninth and Oak around 5:20 am Tuesday. One of the vehicles initially involved, which apparently ran a stop sign at the intersection, was broadsided by the second vehicle. The first vehicle then hit two parked cars before the driver allegedly fled the scene.
A passenger in the first vehicle went to Newman Regional Health with minor injuries.
