Showers and storms are possible Saturday and likely by Saturday evening. Some of the storms, notably in the evening to early overnight hours Sunday, could be strong to borderline severe.
The Storm Prediction Center maintains a marginal to slight risk for the entire KVOE listening area, with hail, wind and brief heavy rainfall all possible. The slight risk area remains over parts of far south Chase, far south Coffey and all of Greenwood counties.

After a marginal severe storm risk went unrealized between midnight and sunrise Friday morning, there are two more short-term chances for stronger storms.
A marginal severe weather risk has now been expanded areawide for Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon and especially evening have a marginal-to-slight risk for the KVOE coverage area, with a slight risk covering parts of far south Chase, far south Coffey and all of Greenwood counties. The rest of the area, including Emporia, is in a marginal risk. Hail and wind are the main concerns for both time periods.
Our recent warmth will continue through at least late next week, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s through at least Thursday.
