Another staple of Emporia’s summer schedule launched Friday night with the return of Front Porch Jams.
Members of Brickhorse and Time Travelers played for about three hours at 2910 Crestview. The concert — and two of the other three on the remaining schedule — benefit the USD 252 Honor Flight program. Concert series organizer Jeana Scheve calls herself a product of a military family and two of her children have been Honor Flight guardians.
The next Front Porch Jam is July 28 at 802 West 15th to benefit the Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center. The other two Jams on the schedule are Aug. 18 at 890 Road L and Sept. 23 at 650 Road K-7.
