Two Emporians qualified for the Kansas Amateur Golf Championship Saturday at a qualifying tournament played at the Emporia Golf Course.
Caleb Schmid qualified by shooting a 2 under 69 and finished in a tie for 4th place.
Brooks Sauder qualified by finishing with a 1 under 70 and tied for 9th place.
16 golfers qualified for the Kansas Amateur Match Play Golf Championship to be played July 17th thru 23rd at Falcon Lakes Golf Course in Basehor.
Aidan Nguyen of Andover had the low score finishing with a 5 under par 66.
3 area golfers missed the cut, Chase Coble finished with a 73, Justin Kohlman a 78 and Parker Simmons a 79.
