A man charged in Lyon County with drug distribution and other drug-related counts is set to begin his court process Wednesday.
Carl David Colyer is charged with distributing up to 100 grams of methamphetamine as part of an alleged incident June 5. He’s also charged with a count of attempted unlawful acts involving proceeds derived from a drug transaction and possession of paraphernalia.
The hearing is set for 12:45 pm.
Separately, a woman accused of aggravated violations of the state’s offender registration laws may learn whether she goes to trial next week as part of a hearing Wednesday afternoon.
Amy Meyers is accused of four separate offender registry violations between January 2021 and January 2022 after an indecent liberties conviction in Richland Parish, Louisiana, in a 2016 case.
The status hearing is at 4 pm. Trial could begin as soon as Monday in this case. It could also begin July 24 or Aug. 14.
