A preliminary hearing is next for a man accused in Lyon County of drug distribution.
Carl David Colyer had his first appearance in Lyon County District Court on Wednesday and now has a prelim Aug. 2. He’s charged with distributing up to 100 grams of methamphetamine as part of an alleged incident June 5. He’s also charged with a count of attempted unlawful acts involving proceeds derived from a drug transaction and possession of paraphernalia.
Separately, trial dates have been tentatively taken off the docket for a woman accused of aggravated violations of the state’s offender registration laws — because she allegedly failed to appear for her trial status hearing Wednesday.
Amy Meyers is accused of four separate offender registry violations between January 2021 and January 2022 after an indecent liberties conviction in Richland Parish, Louisiana, in a 2016 case.
A bench warrant has been issued in Meyers’ case. Bond has also been forfeited.
