Truckin’ for Tucker is coming this weekend.
The 5K run/walk starts at 9 am Saturday at the Lyon County Fairgrounds walking trail for the third annual event. People can still register online at truckinfortucker@yahoo.com. Registration cost is $25.
The event honors the memory of Tucker Lee, who passed away in 2021 due to NUT carcinoma, and raises money for the Tucker Lee Everyone Plays Fund through the Emporia Community Foundation. The fund is used to buy sports gear, shoes and other incidentals so children in junior high and high school can play sports.
