Three area high school basketball players will be playing in the KBCA All-Star Games Saturday.
Emporia High’s Rebecca Snyder is on the girls blue team. Lebo’s Brooklyn Jones is on the girls gold team.
Osage City’s Landon Boss is on the gold boys team.
Snyder, a Washburn basketball signee, averaged 15 points and eight rebounds for Emporia High helping them to a second consecutive trip to state.
Jones, a Kansas State track and field signee, averaged 19 points and 4.5 steals per game helping Lebo to a runner-up finish in Class 1A-Division II. She was also named Sports In Kansas’ Player of the Year in 1A-DII.
Boss, a Butler Community College football signee, averaged 28.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.6 steals, and 2.9 assists per game for the Indians.
Snyder was named KVOE’s Emporia Main Street Emporia High Female Athlete of the Year while Jones was named the Emporia Main Street Area Female Athlete of the Year in May.
The games will take place at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina. The girls game is set for 6 p.m. with the boys to follow at 7:30 p.m. You can watch the games online at https://www.kcacnetwork.com/kansaswesleyan/
