Minor injuries resulted from a crash northeast of Emporia on Friday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the wreck involved an SUV and happened shortly before 9:45 am near Kansas Turnpike mile marker 150 northbound, three miles northeast of the Admire-Council Grove exit and 23 miles northeast of the Emporia gate. The driver, 49-year-old Richard Wesolowski of Bel Aire, apparently fell asleep while driving and hit an electronic sign board.
Weselowski was observed on site and declined a hospital trip afterward.

Emporia and Miller firefighters are responding to a reported injury crash in northeast Lyon County.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the Kansas Turnpike mile marker 150 shortly before 10 am Friday for a reported single-vehicle crash. There are indications the crash happened in a construction zone.
