An Allen resident suffered minor injuries following a single-vehicle accident in northern Lyon County Friday evening.
According to Lyon County Deputy Dylan Jacobs, the accident occurred in the 1200 block of US Highway 56 near Northern Heights Highschool just after 7:40 pm. 36-year-old Tyson Orear of Allen was traveling in a 2013 Dodge Ram 3500 with an attached trailer. Orear reportedly lost visibility of the roadway due to sunlight and went off the roadway into a ditch where the vehicle came to a stop.
Orear suffered reported minor injuries to his nose and face but declined a hospital trip following the accident. Orear was wearing a seatbelt at the time.

Emergency crews have traveled to a reported injury crash on a Lyon County highway.
Emporia and Allen-Admire went to the 1200 block of US Highway 56 near Northern Heights High School shortly after 7:30 pm. Additional details have not been released.
