A traffic stop near Melvern has landed a Paola man in jail.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says the traffic stop took place shortly before 6 pm Thursday at 349th and Berryton Road. A deputy reportedly found illegal narcotics during the resulting search.
The driver, 32-year-old Robert D Williams, was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possessing drug paraphernalia. Formal charges are pending.
