The MIAA has announced the addition of Arkansas Fort Smith to the conference as a full-time member beginning with the 2024-25 school year.
Fort Smith currently sponsors ten sports – volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf, and men’s and women’s tennis.
With Lincoln leaving the MIAA Fort Smith will give the conference 14 schools. Only 11 schools will participate in football.
Fort Smith has been a member of the Lone Star Conference since 2009 when it became an NCAA Division II athletic institution. Arkansas Fort Smith will become the first MIAA school in the state of Arkansas.
