The Newman Regional Health’s Board of Trustees has been busy with meetings as it interviews candidates for the hospital’s new chief executive officer.
The board has already held two special meetings, one last week and one Monday, and now has another special meeting at 4:30 pm Thursday. This meeting is to discuss candidates, and a decision is possible.
Bob Wright, the hospital’s chief administrator since 2014, has announced his retirement effective Oct. 1. The hospital has not announced the candidate names and has not said how many candidates have reached the interview phase of the process.
The Board of Trustees’ monthly meeting is at noon Wednesday. Board members will discuss the monthly and audited 2022 financial reports before considering a project to replace the Central Care Cancer Center’s roof estimated at over $100,000.
Two executive sessions are scheduled, one on peer review and risk management and another on non-elected personnel unrelated to the CEO search.
