A range of local businesses and organizations are involved in a new partnership headed by Southeast KansasWORKS and Flint Hills Technical College Adult Education.
Career Curiosities began last week and continues Thursday with a stop at the college’s main campus from 4-5 pm. With a visit tothe Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce and Visit Emporia already done and upcoming visits to Hostess, the Emporia Public Library, Dynamic Discs, CareArc and Norfolk Iron and Metal, KansasWORKS Youth Workforce Development Coordinator Nadia Qureshi says it has been important to build networking opportunities as part of this new series.
The upcoming schedule includes the following stops:
*July 13: Hostess, 10-11 am
*July 20: Emporia Public Library, 10-10:45 am and 4-4:45 pm
*July 27: Dynamic Discs, 10-11 am
*Aug. 3: CareArc, 10-10:30 am and 4-4:30 pm
*Aug. 10: Norfolk Iron and Metal, 10-10:30 am and 4-4:30 pm
