Lyndon senior Kaedin Massey is staying close to home.
Massey, a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com, made a verbal commitment to play at Kansas State Thursday night. Massey chose Kansas State over Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Ole Miss.
Massey, a 6-foot-8, 255-pound offensive tackle is the third-ranked recruit in Kansas according to Rivals.com and 70th at his position.
As a junior, Massey was a first-team 8-Man Division I District 2 first-teamer both on the offensive and defensive lines. Massey was an honorable mention All-8-Man DI pick on both the offensive and defensive lines from KSHSAA Covered.
In May, Massey finished second in the Class 2A discus and fourth in the Class 2A shot put.
Massey is a key returner for the Tigers who went 8-3 in 2022 in their first year of competing in 8-Man. The Tigers fell to Burlingame in the sectional round of the playoffs. Along with Massey, Lyndon will add Tanner Heckel, a transfer from Inman to their roster for the 2023 season.
