Newman Regional Health’s Board of Trustees is closer to a decision on the hospital’s next chief executive.
Board members met for an hour in executive session Thursday before deciding on further discussions after the July 4 holiday. Board Chair Luke Arndt says the tentative plan is to have a meeting the week of July 10. The date was not set Thursday.
Three candidates reached the interview stage. The hospital has not announced their names.
The board’s choice will succeed Bob Wright, who announced his retirement earlier this month. Wright will retire Oct. 1 after leading the hospital since January 2014.
