While the Fourth of July is typically a time of celebration, for some it can be a very strenuous time for their mental health.
This is especially true for veterans as the sounds of fireworks in the night air can often trigger PTSD due to their time in the service. As such, Lucas Moody of Crosswinds says the agency is offering local veterans a free alternative for their Fourth of July, a night at the movies.
Veterans interested in claiming tickets for the screening can do so by visiting the Crosswinds office at 1000 Lincoln Street or they can pick tickets up at the theatre the night of the screening. 30 tickets are available in advance with an additional 20 tickets available the night of.
All tickets are available on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information visit CrosswindsKS.org or call 620-343-2211.
