Trial dates could be finalized late Wednesday in two notable Lyon County criminal cases.
Alejandro Lara-Ceja was initially charged in April 2020 with distributing drugs within 1,000 feet of a school, as well as criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, criminal discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm while under the influence, DUI and possession of both drugs and paraphernalia.
Lara-Ceja could go to trial as soon as Monday or July 24.
Meanwhile, Wednesday’s hearing could well lead to trial beginning Monday for Lance Paige Sutton, charged with attempted second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated robbery and criminal discharge of a firearm after allegedly trying to kill Michael A Wilson almost three years ago and conspiring with three other people to rob Wilson of drugs and money.
Status hearings are at 4 pm.
