A preliminary hearing is coming next month in a Lyon County kidnapping case.
Authorities arrested Alex Chuc Ayu last week after an alleged incident Wednesday. Court documents on the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal do not include affidavits, or the law enforcement narrative of what allegedly happened.
Besides one count of kidnapping, Ayu also has single counts of driving infractions including no valid license, no proof of insurance and no registration.
Ayu’s preliminary hearing is Aug. 16.
